Who Is The Jericho Foundation?
The Jericho Foundation is a Birmingham based charity and social enterprise group working to break down barriers to employment, especially for people experiencing hardship, trauma or disadvantage. Through supported work placements, mentoring and personal development, Jericho empowers individuals to build confidence and reclaim their futures.
Their social enterprise group includes catering, construction, cleaning, and retail…all are more than just businesses. They are stepping stones to stability, skills and purpose.
The ReUsers and The Wood Shack: Circular Economy in Action
Operating in Sutton Coldfield, The ReUsers is one of Jericho’s most impactful enterprises, a bustling reuse and retail shop based next to the local recycling centre. Here, thousands of donated items are diverted from landfill every year and resold affordably, creating both environmental and social benefit.
Next door, The Wood Shack transforms reclaimed timber into custom furniture, shelving and other beautiful products all made by hand, all made with purpose. The Founder bringing his own lived experience to the enterprise.
But it’s more than just recycling materials to make a bit of profit. It’s about recycling lives. Jericho offers certified training, employment support and a career pathway for those often excluded from the job market.

In the West Midlands, these businesses are influencing local change from sustainability and skills training to health and housing support.
